Testing the Epson Stylus D92
Posted on September 24th, 2009 at 7:02 amEpson Have always brought good value inkjet printers to the market and on first impressions it looks like they done it again with the Stylus D92. Although their printers have been known for value for many their printer ink cartridges have not and this rings true with the Epson D92 ink cartridges also. As with most Epson printers there are cheaper compatible printer cartridges available for the D92. As soon as you remove the D92 from its box you notice that it’s a well built machine with a solid construction and feels as though it should last the ruff and tumble of everyday life. In terms of printing performance the D92 is as expected it a budget printer so you can’t except too much but it prints very well on all types of media and with clear and sharp results every time. What not so impressive about the D92 is the speed, it one of the slowest printer I never used, so much so that I thought it was faulty. After searching for some customer review of the D92 I found that the official 25 pages per minute claim from Epson is way off the mark and the real performance is more like 3 pages per minute. This is a real shame as it means that the Stylus D92 is too slow most almost anybody’s needs, the only people who it would be suitable for is those who only print occasionally and in very small quantities.
